News: Kerry Godliman UK Tour Announced

Stand up comedian Kerry Godliman has announced a UK tour.

Godliman is best known for being one of the co-stars of the Ricky Gervais series Derek. She also recently appeared in the Comedy Playhouse pilot Stop/Start. Radio 4 fans will know her for her own series, Kerry's List.

News: Chortle Awards 2016 Results

Joseph Morpurgo was the big winner at the Chortle Awards tonight (Tuesday). The comedian won three awards – Best Breakthrough Act, Innovation and Comedians’ Comedian.

Peter Kay won two awards. Car Share won the TV Award and his Phoenix Nights Live gigs at the Manchester Arena were named ‘event of the year’.

Elsewhere Vic Reeves and Bob Mortimer won the award for outstanding contribution to comedy. Reeves and his wife Nancy Sorrell collected the award at the ceremony at Jongleurs in Camden Town

News: Adam Buxton To Play Palladium

Adam Buxton is to headline a show at the London Palladium with ventriloquist Nina Conti.

The show, on May 28, will be part of a new season of Palladium Party variety shows promoted by innovative company Invisible Dot.

Since BBC Three went online it has had identity problems. A show such as Cuckoo might be good but it doesn’t seem to chime with the bold new future of online viewing. On the other hand Flat TV, which originated on the web, feels exactly like the programme you might expect an online channel aimed at a young audience to make. In both a good way and a bad way.

News: Dave's Leicester Comedy Festival Winners Announced

Barry Cryer has been named The Legend of Comedy at this year's Dave’s Leicester Comedy Festival Awards ceremony. Previous legends, voted for by the public, have included Rik Mayall, Ken Dodd and Sir Norman Wisdom.

News: Extra Tour Dates For Ranganathan Including More In London

Romesh Ranganathan has extended the autumn leg of his UK tour due to phenomenal demand. 

The new date for the Crawley comedian is a third night at London's Eventim Apollo on October 26. Tickets will go on sale on Thursday at 10am.

Ranganathan recently received another award nomination.

News: Romesh Ranganathan Nominated For Times Award

Romesh Ranganathan has been nominated for The Times Sky Arts South Bank Breakthrough Award.

The winner is chosen by an online vote. Voting will open on the Times website on Monday, April 25, and close at midnight on Friday, May 6.

The stand-up and star of Asian Provocateur is the latest comedian to be in the running for this prestigious prize. Nick Helm won the award in 2014.

Dara O Briain is to host a new game show bringing the world of classic and modern computer games to the Dave Channel.

Dara O Briain’s Go 8 Bit is based on the hit live Edinburgh show Go 8 Bit. Each week the show will see two celebrity guests compete to be crowned ‘8 Bit Champion’.
