News: Good Life for The New Millennium For Brigstocke & Godliman

Marcus Brigstocke and Kerry Godliman are to head the cast in a new sitcom being described as "unashamedly ‘The Good Life’ for the new millennium."

TV: Bad Move, ITV1

It's the holy grail of comedy. The mainstream family sitcom. So full marks to ITV1 – not a channel with a great track record in the genre lately – for having a crack. Whether they've totally succeeded is another matter though.

News: Kerry Godliman Announces UK Tour

Comedian Kerry Godliman is back on tour this Autumn with her show Stick Or Twist. Godliman will be looking at the big issues of the day including: why there’s a Buddha at the garden centre? Why she collects her children’s teeth?  And even though she can't stand aubergines, why is that her favorite emoji?

Rarely Asked Questions – Kerry Godliman

I first spotted Kerry Godliman over a decade ago when she was in a short-lived Evening Standard-sponsored comedy competition. Greg Davies - whatever happened to him? – won, but I was impressed by Godliman’s cheery, accessible everywoman brand of feminism. She had a particularly good gag about anti-gravity face cream. If it was so gravity-defying why wasn’t it floating above the cosmetics counter? More recently she has become best known as Hannah, the sympathetic manager in Derek.

TV Review: Jack Dee's Referendum Helpdesk, BBC2

Nobody seems to have told the person that did the opening credits for this comedy version of Question Time that it is about the EU. Instead subject titles such as “relationships” and “money” rolled past as if our host, serial cynic Jack Dee, was any old agony aunt.

News: Kerry Godliman UK Tour Announced

Stand up comedian Kerry Godliman has announced a UK tour.

Godliman is best known for being one of the co-stars of the Ricky Gervais series Derek. She also recently appeared in the Comedy Playhouse pilot Stop/Start. Radio 4 fans will know her for her own series, Kerry's List.

Review: Brett Goldstein, Pleasance

Brett Goldstein was unlucky to miss out on a Foster's Award nomination with his latest show, Contains Scenes of an Adult Nature, in Edinburgh last summer, but he seems to be doing OK without gongs.

Review: Kerry Godliman, 99 Club

The best thing about Derek. It's the opinion that is already being expressed widely about Kerry Godliman's portrayal of tough-yet-good-hearted manager Hannah, and the Ricky Gervais series set in a care home only started on C4 last week following a controversial one-off last year. The imminent acclaim for Godliman will come as no surprise to regular comedy club goers.
