Edinburgh Comedy Award-winning comedian Bridget Christie is making a TV show for Channel 4. 

The Bridget Christie Television Programme is a half hour pilot and the stand-up sections are being filmed in the round "because lots of you have only seen me from the front and have been wondering what my bum is like," says Christie. They are being shot in West London later this month. The details are as follows.

The show, now titled Stand Up For Her, was filmed at the Hoxton Hall in London last year. It will be available in USA, Canada, UK, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, India and Africa.

The 2016 Funny Women Awards has been launched, with new categories and a new venue for the final.
 

Since 2003 Funny Women has seen over 2500 contestants go through hundreds of heats. Previous winners and finalists include Bridget Christie, Zoe Lyons, Sara Pascoe and Katherine Ryan. This year the awards will visit Dublin, Edinburgh, Manchester, London and Brighton in the search for new queens of comedy.

News: Extra Dates For Bridget Christie

Bridget Christie has extended her run at the Leicester Square Theatre due to popular demand.

The award-winning comedian will now also appear there with her A Book For Her show on 15 & 22 Jan & 5-6 Feb at 7.30pm. She is also appearing there on the previously announced January 8.
