Taskmaster
Ahead of the BAFTA winning tv show making it’s Channel 4 debut on Thursday 15th October at 9pm, it was announced today that the brand-new official Taskmaster Podcast has reached number two in the iTunes charts only two days following the trailer release and before any episodes have aired.
It has been confirmed that BAFTA-winning game show Taskmaster will start on Channel 4 on Thursday 15th October at 9pm.
Free tickets are available for exclusive screenings of the eleventh series of Taskmaster.
The screenings will be in a central London cinema and will conform to Covid-19 safety guidelines.
The makers will be recording audience reactions to the programme but it will just be audio, you will not be seen onscreen.
The trailer for the new series of Taskmaster has been released.
The trailer, which airs for the first time tonight at 9pm on Channel 4, shows the Taskmaster, Greg Davies, poke fun at the fact that the show was originally developed for Channel 4 before being picked up by Dave where it aired for ten successful series.
Alex Horne’s International Emmy and triple BAFTA nominated show Taskmaster has revealed the latest quintet of contestants who will feature in the brand new series set to launch this Autumn in its new home on Channel 4.
Following Norway’s original version of Taskmaster, ‘Kongen Befaler’’s winning Best Entertainment Show at the prestigious Golden Screen Awards 2020, Alex Horne’s comedy game show continues its international growth as local versions are a hit with audiences. Following ratings success, a second series of the award winning local version has been announced in Norway for Discovery, a fifth series has been ordered in Sweden for SVT, a fourth in Denmark for TV2, and a second series in Finland for MTV3.
Channel 4 has confirmed when their first series of hit game show Taskmaster will be starting.
The first Channel 4 series will air this autumn. Nine previous series have aired on Dave.
Some more details have been revealed, suggesting that the show will basically stick to the same format and will feature the same hosts.
The UK version of Taskmaster is to make its debut on American TV this summer.
There has already been an American version fronted by Reggie Watts but this will be reruns of the original version of the International Emmy and triple BAFTA nominated comedy game show. It stars comedian and actor Greg Davies in the title role of the all-powerful Taskmaster, who issues simple comedic and bizarre tasks to five regular contestants – usually comedians – with Alex Horne (the show's creator) acting as the Taskmaster’s assistant.
The winner of the latest series of Taskmaster has been crowned.
The competitors in this latest series on Dave were David Baddiel, Ed Gamble, Jo Brand, Katy Wix and Rose Matafeo.
And the winner is...Ed Gamble, who is pictured here with fellow competitor Rose Matafeo hiding behind his trophy.
