Taskmaster fans will get a festive treat this winter as Alex Horne’s BAFTA winning show returns with a one-off festive special on Channel 4. The news arrives as series ten of the hit comedy entertainment show enjoyed its best performance on record with its premiere in its brand-new primetime slot.

Yes, that's right, in case you hadn't noticed (and in which case where have you been?), Taskmaster is now on C4 instead of Dave. But as the hosts Greg Davies and Alex Horne made clear from the outset of the debut on the new channel, little else has changed, apart from the fact that this was recorded under Covid conditions – "I don't like being near members of the public," quipped Davies.
The new series of Taskmaster sees the unique game show move from Dave to Channel 4 for its tenth series.
The guests this time round competing to be champion are Daisy May Cooper, Johnny Vegas, Katherine Parkinson, Mawaan Rizwan and Richard Herring.

Ahead of the BAFTA winning tv show making it’s Channel 4 debut on Thursday 15th October at 9pm, it was announced today that the brand-new official Taskmaster Podcast has reached number two in the iTunes charts only two days following the trailer release and before any episodes have aired.
It has been confirmed that BAFTA-winning game show Taskmaster will start on Channel 4 on Thursday 15th October at 9pm.
Free tickets are available for exclusive screenings of the eleventh series of Taskmaster.
The screenings will be in a central London cinema and will conform to Covid-19 safety guidelines.
The makers will be recording audience reactions to the programme but it will just be audio, you will not be seen onscreen.

The trailer, which airs for the first time tonight at 9pm on Channel 4, shows the Taskmaster, Greg Davies, poke fun at the fact that the show was originally developed for Channel 4 before being picked up by Dave where it aired for ten successful series.
