Baddiel’s first original stage play God’s Dice, is a tragicomedy "about the power of belief and our quest for truth in a fractured world." It will be directed by James Grieve.

Comedian Frank Skinner has revealed why he and David Baddiel didn't sing Three Lions live onstage during the World Cup.

They were invited to perform the football anthem, which recently returned to the top of the charts, in Hyde Park when the England versus Croatia semi-final was being screened. The Lightning Seeds, featuring the song's co-writer Ian Broudie had agreed to perform in from of the packed open air audience of hopeful England fans.

One time arena-filling double act superstars David Baddiel and Rob Newman had a public comedic exchange today for the first time in over two decades.

After fan Rachel Palmer quipped on Twitter that whenever she sees Robert Palmer she thinks there's a non-league football team missing a manager David Baddiel responded by saying: "That, of course, is a great @mrrobnewman joke of old. Akthough doesn't work quite so well now Robert Palmer's dead."
