It looks like comedians and their parents as a travel documentary concept is set to run and run. While Romesh Ranganathan does seem to have shaken off his mother for the time being at least, Comedy Central has just announced the return of Russell Howard and his mum and Netflix has just released the third instalment of Jack Whitehall's tetchy trekking with his father Michael.
Russell Howard and his mum Ninette are off on brand new and unusual adventures in India, South Korea, Thailand and Japan. The highly anticipated fourth series of Russell Howard and Mum: Globetrotters premieres on Comedy Central UK on the 9th of October at 10pm.
The new series of Live at the Apollo has been filmed at the legendary venue in Hammersmith, West London.
The full line-up has not been officially announced yet but Beyond The joke has heard from other sources that the following names are appearing on the series. The shows were filmed over three days – Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. The 1pm show on Wednesday 11th September was the Christmas Special.
