Comedy Channel Dave Gets New Branding

Broadcaster UKTV has unveiled a fresh new look for entertainment channel Dave set to launch on 9th November.

The award-winning channel has long been home to a huge range of UKTV Original comedy hits from some of the UK’s favourite comedic stars, and now with popular original podcasts and digital YouTube commissions Dave’s branding has been refreshed to reflect its new content and reach new audiences.

New US comedy about a neurotic mid-20s suburbanite who is convinced he is destined to be one of the greatest rap stars ever.

While hanging around the rap music studio where his friend works, Dave (Dave Burd) meets fellow hanger-on GaTa (GaTa). GaTa attempts to teach Dave the social dynamics of the rap world and promises to help him score a guest verse from YG (YG), who is recording in the studio for one of his songs.

UKTV channel Dave has announced Comedy Against Living Miserably, a three-part series of filmed stand-up specials produced by Spirit Media to raise awareness for mental health charity CALM (Campaign Against Living Miserably).  The three one-off fundraising events will air on Dave next year, with comics waiving their fee to donate to the charity.

TV Review: Unspun With Matt Forde, Dave

Matt Forde’s new political series nearly hit the buffers before it had even been recorded. Forde’s first guest was scheduled to be Labour leadership contender Owen Smith, but he pulled out. Forde suggested on the show that Smith was concerned about appearing laddish. It was a shame, but his stand-in, former Home Secretary Alan Johnson was good value for money anyway.
