The date has been revealed for the streaming of Hannah Gadsby's latest show Douglas.
Following shows in the USA, Europe and Australia it will stream on Netflix from May 26.
Douglas – which is the name of her dog – was the follow-up to the Australian comedian's acclaimed show Nanette. Douglas was lighter in tone but was similarly personal and similarly powerful.
Nanette is currently available on Netflix.
The Graham Norton Show returned on Friday night, but this was the Coronavirus version. The guests were onscreen at home and there was no studio audience. No studio in fact. Norton conjured one up through the magic of television. But apart from that there wasn't much magic on display.
Newcastle comedian Gavin Webster has written and stars in a new self-financed sitcom, I've Got A Job For You Gav. Webster plays the titular Gav who in the pilot gets into a spot of bother after his Auntie Sylvia's funeral when he thinks he has identified the perpetrator of an armed robbery. In the series Webster is joined by a number of familiar faces from the north-eastern comedy scene. The cast includes Seymour Mace, Ben Crompton from Game Of Thrones, Matty Reed, Rob Rouse and Jackie Lye who was on Brush Strokes.
Channel 4 has revealed its brand new #StayAtHome campaign set to launch across Easter weekend and created to amplify the important public health message to Stay Home, Save Lives.
A series of 10 second, fly-on-the-wall style films, self-shot by a host of well-known Channel 4 faces reveal the celebrities carrying out mundane tasks at home during lockdown.
These include Katherine Ryan ‘painting’ a self-portrait and Joe Lycett cleaning the kitchen cupboard.
Netflix has released the first trailer from the second season of After Life, the acclaimed series written by and starring Ricky Gervais.
It will be streamed globally from April 24 and there will be six episodes.
Not many details have been revealed but it can be confirmed that the dog will return alongside cast members including Penelope Wilton, Kerry Godliman, Tony Way, Tom Basden, Diane Morgan, Mandeep Dhillon, Joe Wilkinson and Roisin Conaty.
Sky has commissioned Avalon to produce a new fast turnaround topical entertainment show from Russell Howard, Russell Howard’s Home Time, which will air twice a week on Sky One and NOW TV on Tuesdays and Thursdays, starting this Thursday 9 April at 10.30pm.
Guests include James Bay (who left his bathroom door open while he serenaded Howard), Aisling Bea, Jack Whitehall, Greg Davies and cyclist Geraint Thomas.
