News: Daniel Sloss Show X to Be Screened In Australian Cinemas

Daniel Sloss's critically acclaimed stand-up show X is to be screened in cinemas in Australia. The screenings will take place on 25th March in six venues which are part of Palace Cinemas, Australia's leading independent cinema chain.

This follows successful screenings of the stand-up show in Vue cinemas all over the UK in February.

News: Elis James And John Robins Win Arias Radio Award

Elis James & John Robins' Radio 5 show has been a big winner at The Radio Academy Awards, known as the Arias. Their Friday show was the Gold Winner of the Funniest Show at the awards this evening.

Second - Silver Prize – in the category went to James Veitch for his Radio 4 Contractual Obligation Show. Bronze went to Chris and Rosie Ramsey's podcast Shagged, Married, Annoyed.

News: Advance Screening Of After Life Season 2 Plus Ricky Gervais Q&A

The BFI on London's South Bank is to screen two episodes of the second series of Ricky Gervais' acclaimed comedy drama After Life in advance of the programme premiering on Netflix.

The screenings will take place on Sunday, April 19 at 7.15pm. The show streams on Netflix from April 24.

TV: Inside No. 9 – Thinking Out Loud, BBC Two

It's another stylistic curveball for the fifth episode in the fifth series of Inside No. 9. I wondered if creators/stars Reece Shearsmith and Steve Pemberton could sustain their high standard in this run, but if anything they have surpassed it. 

TV Review: The Trip to Greece With Steve Coogan And Rob Brydon, Sky One

It's the fourth series of The Trip and this time Rob Brydon and Steve Coogan have gone all Greek on us, retracing the footsteps of Homer's Odyssey, albeit with better cuisine.

I was really looking forward to this series, once again directed by Michael Winterbottom and also starring Claire Keelan as their long-suffering fixer, and the opening scene has a couple of excellent jokes about Brydon's dislike of camping. The portents seem good, but somehow this early exchange is the high point of the scene-setting episode.
