News: Award Nominations For Roisin Conaty's GameFace, Hang Ups & Flowers

Roisin Conaty's GameFace & Hang Ups starring Stephen Mangan have both been nominated in the Best Comedy Drama category of C21's International Drama Awards.

And C4's Flowers has also been nominated in the Best Returning Comedy Drama category.

The awards are voted for by the world’s leading scripted commissioners and buyers.

The winners will be announced abetween 7.30pm and 8.30pm on November 28 as part of Content London 2018.

News: More GameFace For Roisin Conaty

Channel 4 has confirmed that it has commissioned a second series of Roisin Conaty’s self-penned sitcom GameFace.

By one of those quirks of scheduling one of the storylines in the second episode of GameFace is very similar to a subplot in the Curb Your Enthusiasm episode which just went out. In both shows someone is seen dating someone else who is a doppelganger of someone they have just rejected. Anyway, that's just one of those freakish comedy coincidences – unless GameFace's Roisin Conaty and Larry David are the same person.

Roisin Conaty has revealed the transmission details of her new series, GameFace.

The six-part series will start on E4 on October 12 with the first two episodes going out back-to-back. Conaty tweeted the news, adding "Please watch Xx"

Roisin Conaty is to star in a full series of GameFace on E4. In the programme Conaty plays chaotic singleton Marcella, trying to sort her life out with the help of vodka and a life coach played by Mike Wozniak.

The programme was originally made as an online Comedy Blap before going out on C4 in 2014.
