News: Mo Gilligan To Present Big Breakfast On C4's Black Takeover Day

As part of its ongoing commitment as an anti-racist organisation to improve Black representation on and off screen and drive long-term change, Channel 4’s Director of Programmes Ian Katz today announced two major new commissioning opportunities – a new Black-led comedy series and a new unscripted series set in the Black community – which will feature in a Black Takeover of the channel next year.

News: Channel Four Alternative Travel Series For Rosie Jones

Comedian Rosie Jones is to make an alternative post-pandemic travelogue/documentary series for C4 entitled A Great British, Female, Gay, Disabled, Covid Compliant Adventure (working title). 

In this new four-parter Rosie will endeavour to prove that you don’t need a big budget to have the time of your life - you just need to have the power of minority and an infectious sense of humour.

News: Comedians Rally To Support The Stand Comedy Clubs

Comedians and fans from all over the UK have shown their support for The Stand, one of the most established, respected comedy chains in the UK.

There are three venues, in Edinburgh, Glasgow and Newcastle, and the chain has, like many comedy clubs and venues, hit a major financial crisis during the Covid 19 pandemic that forced them to close down in March. 

It is now asking for donations from fans but is also calling on the Scottish government and Creative Scotland to offer financial help.
