Edinburgh Fringe Review 2019 – Round-Up Featuring Seann Walsh, Phil Wang, Jen Brister, George Egg, Tom Rosenthal, Carl Donnelly & More

So many shows, so little time. Well actually so many shows, quite a lot of time. But still not long enough to do more than scratch the surface of comedy at the Fringe. I was at the Edinburgh Fringe 2019 for 23 days. And saw 91 shows. Not quite the most I’ve seen in a Fringe stint, but it may have been more. Some were free gigs with no tickets so I may not have made a note of them.

Review: Flinch, Netflix

Just when you think you've seen every game show format along comes Flinch, Netflix's first foray into original game show programming.

TV Review: The Stand Up Sketch Show, ITV2

Well, this is certainly an interesting way of putting stand-up on television. Rather than go down the perfectly reasonable tried and tested Live at the Apollo route for their new series, ITV has snapped up some of comedy's top rising stars and a few established ones and has got them to act out their jokes in sketches as well as tell them onstage.

Seann Walsh and Katya Jones have been eliminated from Strictly Come Dancing.

The judges put Graeme and Oti through and knocked Walsh and Jones out.

They did what was described as a Viennese waltz to Screaming Jay Hawkins' I Put A Spell On You. It didn't go down too well though with the judges.

Craig Revel Horwod thought it was too "skippy" and gave them 3.

Comedian Seann Walsh has survived another week on BBC One's Strictly Come Dancing but it was a close-run thing this time.

In Sunday night's show he and his dancing partner Katya Jones had to take part in a tense dance-off with Vick Hope and Graziano Di Prima and Vick was voted off.

It was a good week for Red Dwarf star Danny John-Jules. He and his partner Amy Dowden got the first perfect 10 of the series from Darcey Bussell for their Jive.

Next week's show is a Halloween spectacular.
