All-round entertainer Rob Brydon is to front a new podcast on Spotify. Rob posted about the show’s premiere on Twitter, saying, “Like many middle-aged men I have had to accept the inevitable, and I wanted you to be the first to know.  I have a podcast.  It starts today on Spotify, and though I say it myself, it’s rather good.  Today, John Bishop and I talk. And talk.  And talk. Enjoy!”

So as a curtain-raiser to tomorrow night's Comic Relief fundraising Laughtacular join Rob Brydon as he trips the light fantastic among the funniest, sweetest and silliest musical sketches and performances from the Comic Relief store cupboard.

We haven't been given many hints about what to expect but there will probably be something from Dawn French and Jennifer Saunders and maybe a run-through of the classic Comic Relief singles.

Delighted to see my esteemed colleague Dominic Maxwell singing the praises of Would I Lie to You? in The Times this week. Maxwell called the long-running fib-telling panel show "the most consistently funny, consistently joyful television show of the century." Admittedly the century is barely 20% through and who knows what the BBC – if they still exist – might come up with in 2059 to implant directly into our cerebral cortex, but this is still deserved praise indeed.

I'm going to do a thing that I don't think I've ever seen a critic do before. I'm going to say that my review was wrong. When I reviewed the first episode of the latest series of The Trip, set in Turkey and Greece, I wrote how I was disappointed by it. Having watched the first episode I felt that the tone had changed.

The transmission date has been confirmed for latest gastronomical jaunt from Steve Coogan and Rob Brydon. The Trip To Greece will start on Sky One on March 3 at 10pm.

The series follows the duo's previous hits The Trip, The Trip To Italy and The Trip To Spain.


News: Rob Brydon Announces Songs And Stories Tour

Rob Brydon is setting out on a tour in 2020 in which he will be mixing music with comedy. 

His Songs And Stories tour will start on Wednesday, February 26 at Colchester Charter Hall and currently ends on Thursday, April 30 at Aberdeen Music Hall with more dates to be added.

Brydon recently returned to BBC One to host the latest series of Would I Lie To You? which is on Friday nights at 9.30pm.
