Comedians and comedy fans alike have expressed their shock and outrage at the news that there will be no official Fringe app this year.
The app has been an increasingly popular way that visitors to Edinburgh have planned their Festival Fringe Festival. One of the most useful features is the comedy "nearby now" function enabling fans to choose shows at the last minute that are close to them.
Irish comedian Eamon Goodfellow has been jailed for almost five years after being found guilty of two counts of attempting to cause the sexual exploitation of a child under 13.
He will remain on the sex offenders register for the rest of his life.
Goodfellow was convicted of directing the sexual abuse of children in the Philippines and Romania.

The Edinburgh Festival Fringe Society has announced a new space for Fringe Central at St James Quarter. Located in the heart of the city, the new Fringe Central hub will deliver a tailored programme of activity for artists, industry and media, led by the Fringe Society team during the festival.
Channel 4 has appointed Charlie Perkins as Head of Comedy. Charlie will report directly into Chief Content Officer Ian Katz and will manage a team comprising newly promoted Commissioning Editor Laura Riseam and Commissioning Executive Joe Hullait. Charlie will also oversee the appointment of a new Senior Commissioning Editor.
Sean Foley, the Artistic Director of Birmingham Rep has announced two new comedies to start the New Year ‘23, including the world premiere of Spitting Image Live: Featuring the Liar King, as well as the completion of the Autumn ‘22 Season.
A host of star comedians such as Romesh Ranganathan, Angela Barnes and Tom Allen will be performing at the Brighton Dome - in memory of their friend, comedian Phil Jerrod, who sadly passed away last year.
The show will take place on Sepember 18 and will also feature Carl Donnelly, Joe Foster, Kerry Godliman, Mark Steel, Michael Fabbri and Seann Walsh.
The gig is in aid of Sarcoma UK. Phil Jerrod died of cancer last September.
