News: Mae Martin To Host TV Series

Random Acts -Channel 4’s weekly late-night TV show and online short film strand returns for a sixth series later this Autumn with award-winning Canadian comedian and writer Mae Martin taking the reins as host.

Mae succeeds Fresh Meat star Zawe Ashton as curator, presenting a medley of beautiful, bewildering, dirty, dangerous and disruptive art from musicians, writers, animators, artists and other random creative types.


News: New Tour Dates for Mae Martin

Star of the award-nominated Mae Martin's Guide to 21st Century Sexuality (BBC Radio 4) and Mae Martin: Live at the Soho Theatre (Comedy Central) Mae Martin adds extra dates to her debut UK tour of her 2017 Edinburgh Comedy Award nominated show, Dope. 
She’ll be returning to London’s Soho Theatre on February 23, hitting Canterbury and Glasgow, and finishing up back where it all started, in Edinburgh, on March 14.

News: Comics Discuss The Word Of The Year & Other Words

Comedians including Jo Brand, Sara Pascoe, Aisling Bea, Nish Kumar and Mae Martin (pictured) will discuss the word of the year and more in a one-off Channel 4 programme.

Word of the Year 2017 will explore the meaning, origin and significance of the word "youthquake" and other words that made an impact in 2017.


News: Broadcast Dates For Mae Martin's Radio Show

The transmission dates have been confirmed for comedian Mae Martin's new radio series.

Mae Martin’s Guide To 21st Century Addiction will air on Radio 4 on November 1 and 8 at 11.30am. 

In the series, which expands on her latest Edinburgh Comedy Award-nominated stage show Dope, she explores how we as a society think about addiction, and on a personal level tries to understand who she is, now she is no longer addicted to anything.

News: Book Deal And TV Pilot For Mae Martin

Wren & Rook, the non-fiction imprint of the Hachette Children’s Group has acquired Can Everyone Please Calm Down?, a humorous exploration of modern sexuality written by comedian Mae Martin.

Martin's recent show Dope was nominated for Best Show at this year’s Edinburgh Comedy Awards. Martin has also appeared on TV shows such as BBC3’s Uncle, Live at the BBC and Russell Howard’s Good News.

News: UK Tour For Mae Martin

Comedian Mae Martin has announced a UK tour this autumn for her latest show Dope. The news was announced via a Facebook Live Q&A this afternoon (Friday June 23).

The 20-date tour of Dope follows a run at the Edinburgh Fringe this August. Buy tickets for Edinburgh here.
