Mae Martin Loses Wrestling Championship

Reigning Wrestling champion Mae Martin was sensationally defeated backstage after a gig by Ray Badran, in footage captured by Lolly Adefope.

Adefope, who was humbly thanking her fans on Instagram live, happened to catch the moment that Badran - feigning misery after a bad set - trapped Martin in a pinning predicament and claimed the belt for himself.

Mae Martin Adds Extra Tour Dates

Mae Martin - comedian, co-writer and BAFTA-nominated star of Channel 4 and Netflix sitcom Feel Good, has added extra dates in Manchester and London to their UK tour due to demand. Mae will tour the UK with their latest show, Sap, beginning at Manchester’s O2 Ritz on 5th October, with an extra date now added on 6th October, and a three-week run at London’s Soho Theatre from 22nd November also added.

The trailer for the second series of Feel Good, co-written by Mae Martin and starring Martin, has just been released.

Martin also tweeted that the show drops on June 4th on Netflix worldwide.

The series has received considerable critical acclaim, including Best Comedy Series at the Edinburgh TV Awards. It is co-written by Joe Hampson.


News: RTS Awards for Joe Lycett, Mae Martin, The Young Offenders

Joe Lycett has bagged two awards at this year's Royal Television Society Awards.

The campaigning comedian picked up the award for Best Presenter for his work on the BBC series The Great British Sewing Bee. Judges described him as “warm, approachable and kind, with tremendous enthusiasm for the subject matter”.

And his Channel 4 consumer show Joe Lycett's Got Your Back has won the Formatted Popular Factual Award.

Mae Martin, the co-creator, co-writer and star of acclaimed comedy Feel Good, has officially confirmed that there will be a second series.

The news comes amid much speculation about the future of the series that has received rave reviews and award nominations but had yet to have its recommission announced. In fact according to Martin the second series is "coming to Netflix very soon." . She does not mention C4 who aired the first series.

Mae Martin's acclaimed comedy Feel Good has won Best Comedy Series at the Edinburgh TV Awards, which took place today online.

The jury said: “The writing is very strong, it’s funny but also respected and respectful.”

The runners up were, Defending the Guilty, Big Talk Productions Limited for BBC Two; GameFace, Objective Fiction for Channel 4; Mum, Big Talk Productions Limited in association with The Money Men for BBC Two; Sex Education, Eleven Film for Netflix; Stath Lets Flats, Roughcut TV for Channel 4

Mae Martin, Aisling Bea and Taskmaster are among the nominees for Edinburgh TV Festival Awards announced today. Martin is nominated for Breakthrough Talent alongside Aisling Bea. Martin's debut C4 sitcom, Feel Good, is up for Best Comedy Series. Taskmaster is among the nominees for Best Entertainment Series.
