Charlie Perkins Appointed As C4 Head of Comedy

Channel 4 has appointed Charlie Perkins as Head of Comedy. Charlie will report directly into Chief Content Officer Ian Katz and will manage a team comprising newly promoted Commissioning Editor Laura Riseam and Commissioning Executive Joe Hullait.  Charlie will also oversee the appointment of a new Senior Commissioning Editor.

World Premiere Of Spitting Image Stage Show Confirmed

Sean Foley, the Artistic Director of Birmingham Rep has announced two new comedies to start the New Year ‘23, including the world premiere of Spitting Image Live: Featuring the Liar King, as well as the completion of the Autumn ‘22 Season.

Fundraiser In Memory Of Phil Jerrod

A host of star comedians such as Romesh Ranganathan, Angela Barnes and Tom Allen will be performing at the Brighton Dome - in memory of their friend, comedian Phil Jerrod, who sadly passed away last year.

The show will take place on Sepember 18 and will also feature Carl Donnelly, Joe Foster, Kerry Godliman, Mark Steel, Michael Fabbri and Seann Walsh.

The gig is in aid of Sarcoma UK. Phil Jerrod died of cancer last September.
