News: BBC Launches First Interactive Voice Comedy Drama

Fans of sci-fi comedy drama can now immerse themselves in a new experimental interactive voice experience from the BBC called The Inspection Chamber.

Available for Amazon Alexa from today and coming to other platforms in the future, the user plays an active role as the fourth character in a story inspired by video games like The Stanley Parable and Papa Sangre and by authors like Franz Kafka and Douglas Adams.

News: New 2018 Tour For Ross Noble

Ross Noble has announced a new tour for 2018.

Following an Australian tour his 67-date El Hablador tour will start in Glasgow on September 9. It currently finishes on December 8 in Middlesbrough and includes two nights at the London Palladium in November 2018.

News: Omid Djalili Releases Live Show Download For Charity

Comedian Omid Djalili has announced that he is releasing his acclaimed 2015 stand-up show ‘Iranalamadingdong’ as a digital download today, Wednesday 1st November 2017. The public will be able to download the previously unreleased footage from Omid’s website, and will be encouraged to make a donation to the Bobby Moore Fund for Cancer Research UK, to help beat bowel cancer sooner.

News: Backlash Over David Walliams' Halloween Outfit

David Walliams has caused a kerfuffle by posting a photo of himself dressed as Kim Jong-un.

He was dressed as the North Korean leader to attend Jonathan Ross' annual Halloween party at his house in north London. He posted the photo of himself and the caption "Happy Halloween from Kim Jong-un." on the evening of the party.

News: Noel Fielding To Return To Bake Off For Second C4 Series

Noel Fielding  is set to return to The Great British Bake Off for another series.

The news was confirmed this morning (Tuesday, October 31). The final is due to be broadcast tonight at 8pm.

The other members of the team Paul Hollywood, Prue Leith and Sandi Toksvig, will also be back.

The announcement has been slightly overshadowed by Prue Leith accidentally revealing the winner of the show in advance on Twitter this morning, posting: "I wanted them all to win. Bravo XXXX (name redacted by BTJ).

ITV Head of Drama Polly Hill has confirmed a new series of the comedy drama Cold Feet from creator Mike Bullen and award-winning producers Big Talk Productions.
 
Written and created by Mike Bullen, Cold Feet stars James Nesbitt, Hermione Norris, Robert Bathurst, Fay Ripley and John Thomson as the nation’s favourite ‘fifty something’ friends as we follow their lives in Manchester.

News: Irish Comedian of the Year Results

The Irish Comedian of the Year Final has taken place today.

The winner is Lisa Casey (pictured centre). Second place went to Danny Ryan (left) and Catherine Bohart (right) was third.

The Grand Final took place at the Vodafone Comedy Carnival in Galway.

Lisa Casey wins a cash prize and a trip to perform in Australia.

Sir Lenny Henry is to make a documentary for the BBC entitled  Lenny Henry: The Commonwealth Kid.

Dudley born, but Jamaica bred, Henry considers himself a Commonwealth Kid, born to Jamaican parents who came to the UK as part of the post-Windrush generation in 1957.
