Comedian Cerys Nelmes had an eventful run-up to a recent gig. She was in a restaurant before her show at the Chesham Comedy Club in Dunstable and stepped in when someone at a nearby table got into difficulties.

News: Amnesty & Guilty Feminist Team Up for Secret Policeman Shows

Amnesty International UK and Deborah Frances-White of hit podcast The Guilty Feminist are launching a new Secret Policeman’s Tour and have announced three shows happening across the UK.

More than forty years since Amnesty’s first ever Secret Policeman’s event, the newly-revamped 2019 Secret Policeman’s Tour will see a host of comedians, musicians, actors, activists and inspiring speakers come together for three electrifying nights of comedy, music and discussion, all in support of human rights.

News: Melbourne Best Show Nominations For Tom Allen, James Acaster

The nominations have been announced for the Melbourne International Comedy Festival Awards 2019. The nominations for the most outstanding show are Anne Edmonds, Cassie Workman, Geraldine Hickey, James Acaster, Nath Valvo and Tom Allen.

The nominees for the Best Newcomer Award 2019 are Blake Freeman, Dan Rath, Nina Oyama and Oliver Coleman.
