Q&A with Omid Djalili, host of new quiz Winning Combination, daily at 3pm, ITV1
How would you explain the format to someone who hasn’t seen the show?
“Nine players are randomly assigned a number. It’s up to them to try and get themselves and their number into the final. The four that make it combine their numbers to make up the jackpot. It’s then a race against the clock.

Presented by Omid Djalili, nine contestants must compete against each other to be part of the Winning Combination.
Omid Djalili has announced a brand new UK tour. The Good Times Tour will begin in March 2021, with tickets on general sale from 9th October 2020.
Last week, national digital radio station Union JACK announced the launch of #StandUpToCorona – a curated radio show highlighting some of the best stand-up and comedy content on British radio; designed to make the British public laugh at this time of uncertainty, whilst also giving comedians a national platform to broadcast their content when many have seen their gigs, tours and events cruelly cancelled.

Omid’s set was filmed at this year’s TEDSummit in Edinburgh at the end of July, which saw more than 1,000 member of the TED community gathered for five days of performances, workshops, brainstorming, outdoor activities, future-focused discussions and an eclectic program of TED Talks from prominent figures including Nicola Sturgeon.
Actor & stand-up comedian Omid Djalili is to return to one of his earliest stage creations ‘A Strange Bit of History’ in a four-performance run of the one-man play at the British Library, from Thursday 26th – Saturday 28th September 2019. Tickets are on general sale from today.
The storytelling piece of mystical experiences, astonishing claims, adventures and tragedies is set against the backdrop of tumultuous expectation for a Promised One in Persia 1844.
