Comedy Clubs Cancel Andrew Lawrence Gigs After Euros Tweet

A number of comedy clubs have announced on social media that they have cancelled bookings with comedian Andrew Lawrence following the stand-up's tweet about the England penalty shootout.

Following the Euros defeat Lawrence tweeted: "All I'm saying is, the white guys scored." 

Later on he doubled down by adding: "I can see that this has offended a lot of people, and I'm sorry that black guys are bad at penalties."

Tickets have gone on sale for a further 60 Fringe shows at edfringe.com.

Tickets for 172 registered shows were launched last week, with further programme details set to be announced weekly in the run up to the Fringe (06-30 Aug).

More Edinburgh Fringe Tickets Go On Sale

Tickets go on sale for the Edinburgh Festival Fringe today at edfringe.com.

Tickets for over 170 shows will be released at noon, with more programme details set to be announced weekly in the run up to the Fringe (6-30 Aug).

This year, for the first time ever, the programme features a range of both online and in person shows, with theatre, comedy, music, dance, musicals, variety, visual art, events and more represented.

Fringe By The Sea Line-Up Announced

Fringe By The Sea, Scotland’s freshest festival which is held in North Berwick (6-15 August 2021), returns with live audiences being entertained in Covid-secure environments.  The festival will be held throughout the town in several new venues such as the Belhaven Big Top, SSE Renewables Envirozone, Glenkinchie Lowland Stage and Marine North Berwick.  A map with all the festival venues has been designed by Artist in Residence Eilidh Muldoon.
