Richard Osman's House of Games With Milton Jones, Ria Lina, Martin Roberts and Briony May Williams

Comedians Milton Jones and Ria Lina take on Martin Roberts and Briony May Williams in this week's edition of Richard Osman's House of Games.

In fact there are almost three comedians in this week's shows. Martin Roberts is often confused for stand-up Hal Cruttenden, who once tweeted: "People say I look like @TVMartinRoberts. He's a Northern version - more manly but I bet when he's alone in the car he sings showtunes."

Nobody has ever mistaken Milton Jones for anyone as far as we know. The madcap comic is known for his wacky hairdo - more like a hair don't – and his loud shirts, but he is mainly known for his brilliant one-liners. His live shows are fantastic and not just joke after joke after joke - he also uses callbacks and references unique to that event. Though there are joke after joke after joke too. Here are a couple of his classics:

“Hopefully, I’ve got a book coming out soon. Shouldn’t have eaten it, really.”

“My aunt Marge has been so ill for so long that we’ve started to call her ‘I can’t believe she’s not better’.”

Comedian Ria Lina is having a good run at the moment. She has recently appeared on Live at the Apollo,The Last Leg, Pointless Cebrities and Have I Got News For You. She is not just a comedian though, she is also someone who can speak with authority about coronavirus. She used to be known as that comedian who plays bawdy songs on the ukelele, but the Filipino stand-up has a PhD in Virology.

Lina was born in the UK but previously lived in America and The Netherlands. Her German father was a painter, her Filipino mother trained as a physicist. Before comedy Lina worked as an IT Forensic Investigator for the Serious Fraud Office.

Richard Osman's House of Games With Milton Jones, Ria Lina, Martin Roberts and Briony May Williams, Monday, April 4 to Friday, April 8, BBC Two, 6pm.
