News: It's A Rap – Dogged Determination From Bill Bailey On Strictly

Bill Bailey won over the judges with his dance to Rapper's Delight by The Sugarhill Gang on Strictly Come Dancing.

The musical comedian and his partner Oti Mabuse donned smart pin-striped suits for their dance to the classic rap number and got huge cheers from the people in the studio.

Craig Revel Horwood called him "the king of pop and lock. I absolutely loved the amount of detail in that." 

Shirley Ballas said: "You are the real deal. I'm in awe."

I was a bit worried when I heard that there was a task that involved watermelons in the latest episode of Taskmaster on Channel 4. There was a watermelon challenge in the very first episode, back in 2015, when the challenge was won by Frank Skinner.

News: Rosie Jones To Headline Online Benefit

Comedian Rosie Jones, who made a huge impact on Question Time this week discussing disability and discrimination, headlines an online show at the South Bank Centre on November 22 at 8pm.

Refugee and migrant comedy collective No Direction Home return to the South Bank Centre as part of the Inside Out season.

Jones will be joined by new stand-up comedians mentored by award-winning comedian Tom Parry. They are Edin Suljic, Krishna Vytelingum, Nour-ani Sisserian and Yasmeen Gharwi.

News: Acclaimed James Acaster Show To Stream Live

James Acaster’s acclaimed show, Cold Lasagne Hate Myself 1999, will be Live Streamed On DICE on Thursday 17th December 2020 at 8pm GMT.

It is the performance filmed at EartH Hackney last December.

Commenting on the show, James says: "It was a show about the best year of my life (1999) and the worst year of my life (2017), I wore a very nifty jacket for it and I looked extremely cool. But then in 2020 the entire world changed, and the release of this show got heavily delayed.

News: Stand Up Sketch Show Returns

The award-winning The Stand Up Sketch Show returns to ITV2 in early 2021 for a brand new series.

Some of the comedians taking part in the new series include Iain Stirling, Dane Baptiste, Jayde Adams, Tom Parry, Luke Kempner, Judi Love, Kojo Anim, Kemah Bob and Matt Richardson 

The show that uniquely combines both stand-up and sketch recently won Best Comedy at The International Format Awards.

News: Bill Bailey Glides Through Strictly Movie Night

Bill Bailey has impressed all of the judges in the latest edition of Strictly Come Dancing.

The theme of the show was Movies and Bailey and dancing partner Oti Mabuse danced the paso doble to the music from the spaghetti western The Good, The Bad and the Ugly. Bailey added a guitar solo too, showing off his trademark musical chops.

Judge Motsi Mabuse said that she got the vibe that Bill "was not here to play, he was here to paso."
