NextUp Launches New Act Competition at The Comedy Store

NextUp, the streaming service fast becoming the worldwide  ‘home of live comedy’ is launching a new act competition at  the Comedy Store in support of our mission to unearth comedy’s best new talent whilst showcasing great circuit legends.   

Hosted by Amy Gledhill (TV regular and one half of The Delightful Sausage) and headlined by Clinton Baptiste (Phoenix Nights), the first monthly heat is on the 25th of May and features six contestants.

News: Five New Live Shows From Streaming Site

NextUp​ - the subscription video-on-demand platform specialising exclusively in stand-up comedy specials, have annou​nced they are filming five specials (produced by NextUp) in November.

NextUp have filmed Britain’s Got Talent star Lost Voice Guy, as well as comedians Ali Brice and Lou Conran (filmed live on the 10th November at The Bill Murray) and Tom Parry and Michael Legge (filmed live on the 17th November also at The Bill Murray).

Streaming platform NextUp has announced a special bursary to broaden the range of comedians available on their platform.

The fund, which is open to stand-up performers worldwide, will financially support the filming of comedy specials from acts who meet NextUp’s criteria.
