Frog & Bucket and Glee Join NextUp’s Live Streaming Programme

Comedy streaming service NextUp have added three prestigious venues to their programme of regular live-streamed nights from the best clubs in the UK.

Glee Birmingham and Glee Cardiff are now streaming their shows regularly. The next one is Glee Birmingham’s ‘Friday Night Comedy’, featuring Robin Grainger and Garret Millerick.

Manchester's Frog & Bucket have also just  joined NextUp, starting strong  with one of their biggest gigs of the year on Monday - the legendary ‘Beat the Frog’ Final. With previous contestants including Peter Kay, John Bishop, Jack Whitehall & Johnny Vegas,  members will be able to tune in on Monday 6th at 8pm to see the acts who are destined for greatness.

Jessica, director of the Frog & Bucket says "We have had a Monday night open mic for 30 years, it's where Peter Kay and John Bishop did their first gig. There aren't many comics who haven't come through Beat the Frog, it's legendary. Launching on our 21st annual Beat the Frog final seems so fitting, as we can take this already sold out event to a broader audience - not limited by venue size, geography or public transport. The competition is about raising these new comics profiles so the more eyes on them the better."

Tom, Head of Content at NextUp says “We are so excited to have these exceptionally well regarded clubs join our live streaming calendar. They’re known around the UK for producing some of the best comedy nights going, and now our members will be able to have that live experience at home. We’ll have 10 clubs by the end of the year, so there’ll be live comedy on NextUp most nights of the week - it’s our mission to be a window into the best clubs in the world, and we’re well on the way in the UK.”

Venues that are also live streaming regularly to NextUp are:  Angel Comedy, Backyard Comedy, Monkey Barrel (Edinburgh), Museum of Comedy, Big Difference (Leicester), with two more on the way by the end of the year.  The calendar with all live streams can be found here

Membership of NextUp is just £35 and gives members access to all live streams (at least 10 per month) and festivals as well as over 300 on demand specials and loads of short form sets.
