News: Lee Nelson Extends Serious Joker Tour

After handing Prime Minister Theresa May her P45 during the Conservative Party Conference before being frogmarched out and swiftly arrested, Lee Nelson, alias Simon Brodkin is due to embark on the third leg of his hit stand-up tour ‘Serious Joker’. Nelson has added 29 dates added across the country, including two shows at London’s Leicester Square Theatre on 30th May and 14th June, bringing the tour to 153 dates.

News: Simon Brodkin Pranks Donald Trump

Comedian Simon Brodkin attempted to interrupt a speech by Donald Trump about the Brexit vote at the Turnberry golf course in Scotland today.

The Republican Presidential hopeful was about to speak when Brodkin appeared in wig and glasses. He started speaking and produced a red golf ball with a swastika on it before being dragged away by security.

Trump responded by saying: "Get him out!"

News: Soccer Stunt at FIFA Conference

Comedian Simon Brodkin, better known as Lee Nelson, managed to get to the front of the FIFA press conference today. He made a quick speech and showered President Sepp Blatter in $600-worth of bank notes before being led away.

Just before he was escorted offscreen he said something about the money being for the World Cup in North Korea in 2026. Blatter responded by saying "this has nothing to do with football" and postponed the press conference until the table was cleared up.

News: Lee Nelson Pranks Kanye West At Glasto

Comedy character Lee Nelson has made an unexpected appearance alongside Kanye West at the Glastonbury Festival. The rapper was headlining when Nelson, alias character comedian Simon Brodkin, managed to get onto the stage. He attempted to dance and join West in a vocal duet, but after striding to the front of the performance area with his hands in the air he was quickly bundled off by security guards.

News: Lee Nelson Gatecrashes X Factor

Comedian Simon Brodkin staged a one-man invasion of the X Factor stage during last night’s live broadcast on ITV1. While the eight-member boy band Stereo Kicks was performing Brodkin, best known as character Lee Nelson, got up with a microphone and joined the line-up before being bundled offstage. Ironically the band was singing Michael Jackson's hit You Are Not Alone at the time.

UK Pun Championship 2015 Launched

The second annual UK Pun Championship has been launched by TV channel Dave, as part of their continued support of Dave’s Leicester Comedy Festival.  The Championships will take place on Thursday 12th February in Leicester and follows the hugely successful inaugural championship which took place in 2014.  The winner of the first competition was Darren Walsh, who went on to take part in the O. Henry Pun-Off World Championships in Austin, Texas.
