Filming has started on BBC One’s brand new comedy, Scarborough. News: Stars Return to Frog & Bucket To Mark 25th Birthday

Comedy stars appeared at the Frog & Bucket on Sunday night to mark the Manchester club's 25th birthday.

Johnny Vegas and Jason Manford, who both played the club at the start of their careers and got an early break at the venue's open mic nights, returned to help owner David Perkin and his daughter and now director Jessica Toomey celebrate its birthday.

News: Jason Manford Launches Blackpool Comedy Festival

Manford Comedy Clubs, run by Jason Manford and his brother Colin, is to stage an all-star comedy festival in Blackpool in 2019.

In association with Absolute Radio, the Blackpool Comedy Festival will take place from Friday 10 May – Sunday 12 May 2019 and will feature a wide variety of top comedy acts as well as the Grand Final of a new comedy award which will feature heats across the UK.

News: More Live Shows For Jason Manford

Comedian Jason Manford has added another run of dates to his current Muddle Class tour due to demand.

The new shows include a prestigious gig at the London Palladium on March 8, 2019.

The other new dates are in Cambeidge, Leeds, Middlesbrough and Liverpool.

Muddle Class is Jason's latest tour and it features new material about Jason growing up "working class" then finding, over the years, that part of him has become "middle class" - causing much confusion.

News: More Tour Dates for Jason Manford

Jason Manford has added more new dates to his current tour, extending it into 2019. There are now 126 upcoming dates on the tour.

In his new show Manford comes to terms with the realisation that having grown up working class he has now become middle class, hence the term "muddel class".

The tour follows his 2013/4 ‘First World Problems’ tour, which ran for 18 months and took him to all corners of the British Isles, performing more than 200 sold out shows.

News: Jason Manford Gig Ends Early When Fan Collapses

Jason Manford finished his gig at Newcastle City Hall on Wednesday night early after a woman near to the front collapsed.

The show was coming to an end when the woman in the second row was taken ill around 15 minutes before the finish.

As it happens a number of free tickets had been given to NHS staff wo there were plenty of people on hand to deal with the situation.

 Comedian Jason Manford married his girlfriend Lucy Dyke on Saturday.

According to The Sun the ceremony in Manchester was followed by a reception in a local curry house.

News: Jason Manford To Open London Comedy Club At New Venue

Update: The club opens this Sunday, February 18. Jason Manford himself is appearing alongisde Angela Barnes, Paul Pirie and Simon Lomas. Tickets here.

 

Jason Manford is to launch another branch of his comedy club chain at a new venue in south west London.

The club will open in 2018. Manford said: ‘We’re delighted to be bringing the Manford Comedy Club to London for the first time."
