News: Comedians Play Dungeons And Dragons for Comic Relief

Comedians James Acaster, Lou Sanders, Phil Wang and Sally Phillips will team up to take part in a live game of Dungeons & Dragons on Friday 4 December at 7.30pm to raise money for Comic Relief.

News: Acclaimed James Acaster Show To Stream Live

James Acaster’s acclaimed show, Cold Lasagne Hate Myself 1999, will be Live Streamed On DICE on Thursday 17th December 2020 at 8pm GMT.

It is the performance filmed at EartH Hackney last December.

Commenting on the show, James says: "It was a show about the best year of my life (1999) and the worst year of my life (2017), I wore a very nifty jacket for it and I looked extremely cool. But then in 2020 the entire world changed, and the release of this show got heavily delayed.

American broadcaster CBS has ordered a pilot of We The Jury, the sitcom written by comedian James Acaster.

We The Jury originally went out as a one-off as part of a pilots series on BBC2 in 2016, but a series was not commissioned in the UK.

News: James Acaster Wins Melbourne Comedy Prize

James Acaster has won this year's Melbourne International Comedy Festival award for Most Outstanding Show.

Acaster picked up the award for his latest show Cold Lasagne Hate Myself 1999. As he is probably fed up reading by now, Acaster has been nominated for the Edinburgh Comedy Award five times without winning. He didn't take Cold Lasagne Hate Myself 1999 to the Edinburgh Fringe but his run in London last autumn garnered umpteen five star rave reviews.

The nominations have been announced for the Melbourne International Comedy Festival Awards 2019. The nominations for the most outstanding show are Anne Edmonds, Cassie Workman, Geraldine Hickey, James Acaster, Nath Valvo and Tom Allen.

The nominees for the Best Newcomer Award 2019 are Blake Freeman, Dan Rath, Nina Oyama and Oliver Coleman.
