Four full-length shows by James Acaster are to be streamed on Netflix. They will be available from March 27, which means that by the end of March Acaster will have more shows on the global streaming network than the likes of Chris Rock and Ricky Gervais put together.

Book Review: James Acaster's Classic Scrapes

At 32 James Acaster does seem a trifle young to be writing his autobiography – not that that has stopped various footballers, pop stars and deluded reality TV stars – but he has found a neat way here of writing an autobiography that initially doesn’t seem like an autobiography, hence circumventing accusations that he is cashing in early.

News: The Wrestling Returns To Edinburgh Fringe

Some of the line-up has been revealed for this summer's return of The Wrestling at the Edinburgh Fringe.

The show - which won the Edinburgh Comedy Award Panel Prize in 2011 – takes place this year at the Pleasance Grand at 11pm on August 15 and features a host of comedians taking on real wrestlers in the ring for one night only.

Among those taking part this year are James Acaster, Stuart Goldsmith, Joel Dommett, Lolly Adefope and Richard Gadd, with many more to be announced.

Live Review, Live at the Chapel with James Acaster, Kevin Eldon, Jayde Adams, Carl Donnelly, John Robins

When the pioneering Invisible Dot organisation closed down in 2016 there was a fear that the regular Union Chapel gigs promoted by ID might come to an end too. There have been lots of memorable nights at this Islington church over the years and luckily for the comedy world promoter Will Briggs has picked up the baton. Briggs is clearly a shrewd man, even if last night’s compere John Robins described him as looking like a stoner out of Point Break.

News: Greatest Hits "Trelogy" Tour For James Acaster

James Acaster is to tour the UK next year with his last three shows, Recognise, Represent and Reset. He will be performing each show on consecutive nights in each place he visits. He has called the new tour his "Trelogy". The shows were nominated for Edinburgh Comedy Awards in consecutive years from 2014 - 2016.

The tour starts in Brighton on February 8 - 10 and ends in Aldershot on June 21 - 23.

TV Review: We The Jury, BBC2

Of all the current BBC2 sitcom pilots this was the one I was looking forward to the most. When I heard that We The Jury was written by James Acaster I assumed it would be based on his 2015 Edinburgh Comedy Award-nominated show about his time - quite possibly fictional - on a court case.

News: lastminute.com Edinburgh Comedy Award Winners Announced

The winners of this year's lastminute.com Edinburgh Comedy Awards have been announced today at Dovecot Studios in Edinburgh.

Richard Gadd won the Best Show award for his show Monkey See Monkey Do.

Latitude Review: James Acaster

James Acaster’s Latitude set should have been an easy one. A chance to run through his forthcoming Edinburgh show, Reset, about how wouldn’t it be great if one could hit s reset button in one’s life when things go pear-shaped like you can do when you are playing Tetris. The Kettering comic probably wished he could have hit reset and done this gig again.

Edinburgh Fringe Preview: James Acaster

I think this is what they call a “no brainer”. James Acaster has notched up four consecutive Edinburgh Comedy Award nominations and a version of his new show, Reset, has already received glowing reviews at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival. As the title suggests, it is all about being able to start your life again. This is no doubt a jumping off point for some trademark finely honed routines from one of the most skilful comedy engineers to emerge in recent years.
