Oscars Shock As Will Smith Slaps Chris Rock

There was controversy at this year's Oscars ceremony when Will Smith walked onstage and appeared to slap comedian Chris Rock across the face.

This followed comedian Rock making a joke about Smith's wife. He said: "Jada, can't wait for GI Jane 2," referring to the film in which Demi Moore shaved her head – Jada Pinkett Smith has lost hair through alopecia.

Set over a 6 week period during which the inmates rehearse a musical directed by ex-Eastender’s star Cheryl Fergison. Rehearsals draw together an oddball collection of women as they find their voices, grow in confidence and strengthen their friendships.

ITV Announces Comedies for New Service ITVX

ITV has announced a range of comedies that will be available on their new service, ITVX - the UK’s first integrated advertising and subscription funded (AVOD/SVOD)  platform, which will launch later this year.

Viewers can choose to watch thousands of hours of content for free in an advertising funded tier or trade up to a subscription service which provides all that content ad-free and in addition provides thousands more hours of British boxsets from BritBox and other partners’ content.

Jason Byrne Announces Unblocked Tour

Jason Byrne has announced his new UK tour, UNBLOCKED, which hits the road this autumn. The tour will kick off on 15 September at The Stand in Newcastle, following a run at the Edinburgh Festival in August. Jason will then play a further 30 dates around the UK, before culminating at The Lowry in Salford on 27 November.
