Is there still a place for Dom Joly in 2017? After returning with a first All4 series of Trigger Happy TV he is now back with a second series and I'm not so sure.
Part of the problem is not his fault, it's just bad timing. Having recently seen ballsy prankster Simon Brodkin blag his way into the front row of the Tory Party Conference seeing Joly pretending to be an Uber driver on a motorised lawnmower hardly feels like the height of subversion.
David Walliams and Sheridan Smith star in the TV version of Walliams' children’s novel Ratburger, which comes to Sky One and NOW TV this Christmas. Walliams plays evil villain Burt and Sheridan is the horrid stepmother.
Jongleurs' comedy clubs appear to have closed.
A message was sent out this afternoon saying that as of today Roving Ventures Ltd (the licensee of Jongleurs Comedy) is to suspend operations.
More details to follow but this has major ramifications for comedians who had been booked to perform at the various Jongleurs clubs around the country and Jongleurs On The Road too. There is also the issue of where comedians stand regarding outstanding payments. An administrator is to be appointed.
Ex comedy agent Hannah Begbie has signed a book deal with HarperFiction.

John Dunsworth, better known as Jim Lahey in the Trailer Park Boys series, has died. He was 71.
Dunsworth’s daughter Sarah posted the news on social media. She wrote, “With heavy and broken hearts the family of John F. Dunsworth would like to let people know that our amazing husband, father and grandfather John Dunsworth has passed away. John left this world peacefully after a short and unexpected illness.”
James Corden had a mixed response when he made jokes about Harvey Weinstein last night onstage at the AmfAR Gala Los Angeles Friday night in Beverly Hills.
The talk show host quipped: “This is a beautiful room, it’s a beautiful night here in L.A. It’s so beautiful, Harvey Weinstein has already asked tonight up to his hotel to give him a massage.”
Reports suggest that there was "nervous laughter" in the room as he continued.
Wearing shorts, kneepads and an ice hockey top, Tony Law is muscular, masculine and hilarious in a role that brings a whole new physical element to his comedy.
Jason Manford has added 27 more dates to his 2017/2018 Muddle Class tour due to exceptional demand. Tickets go on sale at 10am on Friday, October 13. Link below.
In his new show Manford comes to terms with the realisation that having grown up working class he has now become middle class, hence the term "muddel class".
The tour follows his 2013/4 ‘First World Problems’ tour, which ran for 18 months and took him to all corners of the British Isles, performing more than 200 sold out shows.
Comedian Dane Baptiste has announced a UK tour as part of his planned world tour for his latest show G.O.D. (Gold. Oil. Drugs.).
