The team behind No Such Thing As A Fish are hitting the road again in Spring 2019, with their brand new show, ‘In No Particular Order’. Dan, James, Anna and Andy will be taking their fact-filled tomfoolery to all corners of the British Isles, performing their most northerly, southerly, easterly and westerly UK & Ireland shows to date. Their new UK tour will start on 28th February 2019.
Most comedians of the same generation are pretty supportive of their colleagues but there was a thread on Facebook a while ago in which a few comics expressed concern about the success of Comedy Central UK’s high-rating show Roast Battle UK. There was a feeling that insults hurled in the name of entertainment could be recycled in the playground in a much more hurtful way.
The 2017 and 2018 BAFTA nominated entertainment series, The Last Leg returns to Channel 4 this autumn for a15th series. The ten episode series sees Adam Hills, Josh Widdicombe and Alex Brooker reunite with their honest, upbeat and award-winning brand of satirical comedy.
Award winning stand-up and TV star Nick Helm will be performing not one but two live shows this autumn/winter.
Nick’s two shows are a tenth-anniversary resurrection of a horror musical and the fourth instalment of his festive bonanza.
Back in 2008 Helm wrote his last play for the Edinburgh Festival, the Musical B-Movie, Drive-In Anthology Horror Tribute ‘I Think, You Stink!’. It was the only show that Nick wrote between 2001 and 2008 that made any money in Edinburgh. It made £50.
Barry Cryer has been awarded the British Music Hall Society 2018 Lifetime Achievement Award.
Barry was presented the award (an engraved Chairman’s Gavel and Block) at the British Music Hall Society’s President Roy Hudd’s Annual Lunch by Chairman Adam Borzone (pictured).
The event was held at Brick Lane Music Hall.
The 2017 recipient was Sir Ken Dodd.

Harry Hill has announced a brand new, family-fun-filled live tour, Harry Hill Kidz Show: How To Be Funny – For Kids!, to mark the release of his brand new kids book in October 2018. The 11-date tour, jam-packed with laughs for all ages, will kick off in Oxford on Thursday 21st October.
