Ricky Gervais is to appear in animated form in the new series Scooby-Doo and Guess Who?, which is to be streamed by children's ntwork Boomerang.

  

New episodes of the classic crimefighting cartoon will feature special guests. Comedian Wanda Sykes (pictured alongside Gervais) also appears in the series and further guests include singer Sia and NBA player Chris Paul.

 

Gervais appears in an episode involving a haunted antique Egyptian statue of a cat. His real-life cat Ollie also has a cameo.

 

The creator/star of Netflix hit After Life sounds just like himself but looks slightly different – he is wearing a white T-shirt rather than his trademark black T-shirt. His other most recent appearance was alongside Jerry Seinfeld in Comedians In Cars Getting Coffee. Though he looks slimmer and has better teeth in this cartoon version.
