Steve Martin and Martin Short have postponed their two London shows that were supposed to take place at the Royal Albert Hall at the weekend on Saturday and Sunday.
BBC Comedy Commissioning is delighted to announce the recipient of this year’s Caroline Aherne Bursary is comedian and writer Kiri Pritchard-McLean.
The bursary, which was launched in memory of comedy star Caroline Aherne, is aimed at writer/performers and awards £5000 to the successful applicant to enable them to fund future development of their work. Kiri will also receive mentorship from a BBC Comedy Commissioning Editor to develop a comedy script.

Spotify has announced the release of its latest eight part Spotify Original podcast, ‘Lifers’. Available weekly on Thursdays from 19th March, the exclusive series is hosted by one of the UK’s brightest comedians and podcasters, Ed Gamble as he talks all things heavy metal with some of the genre’s biggest names.
Daniel Sloss's critically acclaimed stand-up show X is to be screened in cinemas in Australia. The screenings will take place on 25th March in six venues which are part of Palace Cinemas, Australia's leading independent cinema chain.
This follows successful screenings of the stand-up show in Vue cinemas all over the UK in February.

It has been confirmed that the classic satrical TV show Spitting Image is to return. It will be the first original commission from new streaming service Britbox.
Spitting Image co-creator Roger Law will lead the show’s creative team.
