Jennifer Saunders has become embroiled in a controversy over political correctness in comedy following remarks she is alleged to have made onstage at an event at the Garrick Theatre on Monday night.
According to a major article in The Sun Saunders said:
"What pisses me off? Quite a lot of stuff actually. I get pissed off by people and gentle criticism all the time.
This is a modern thing, isn’t it? If someone says something it always has to be, ‘Oh, but sorry, you can’t say that’. I say, ‘Oh fuck off’.
On demand and PPV service, LIVENow, has announced that on 14 July audiences can watch exclusively on the platform a filmed version of Russell Brand’s one man theatre show, Our Little Lives: Shakespeare & Me, in which he takes some life lessons from Shakespeare. These shows will all take place at the Corn Exchange where there will also be shows from Danial Sloss, Craig Hill, Mark Nelson, Andrew Maxwell and All Killa No Filla.

The second part of the third series will see Rob Beckett and Romesh Ranganathan taking on Team GB across a number of sports, from weightlifting to canoeing, as well as going head-to-head with sporting icons including as Denise Lewis and Max Whitlock. The pair will also serve up a special episode with none other than tennis legend, Andy Murray.
