News: Publication Date Confirmed For Book About Comedy & Being Human

The publication date has been confirmed for Robin Ince's new book. I'm a Joke and So Are You: A Comedian's Take on What Makes Us Human will be published by Atlantic Books in hardback on October 4. 

Ince says that the book was prompted by a moment when he was stuck on a train platform in rural Northumberland, swearing maniacally, punching his own leg, vowing never to do stand-up again. He was a successful stand-up comedian.  Was he having an existential crisis? He didn't know. But he wanted to find out.


News: Space Aces And Comics Combine for Major Show

Apollo astronaut Rusty Schweickart, theoretical physicist Jim Al-Khalili and science-comedy phenomenon Festival of the Spoken Nerd have joined the all-star Space Shambles show, which comes to the Royal Albert Hall in June.

This irresistible collision of comedy, science and music, from comic Robin Ince and Canadian astronaut Chris Hadfield, will be a headline event at the venue’s inaugural Festival of Science, which focuses on all things space.

News: Two-Book Deal For Robin Ince

Robin Ince has signed a two-book deal with Atlantic Books. His first book will be entitled I’m a Joke and So Are You and will be published in September 2017.

It is described by his publisher as a "witty and informative" exploration of the human condition in which Ince sets out to discover why he’s made the big choices he has in life, and what makes us who we are.
