Pls Like, the award-winning mockumentary series spoofing online influencers, is to return for a third series produced by Baby Cow Productions and directed by Simon Bird (Friday Night Dinner, The Inbetweeners), marking his TV directorial debut. The six-part comedy for BBC Three will land as a boxset on BBC iPlayer on Sunday 24th January 2021, with a BBC One broadcast to follow.
BAFTA-nominated comedy mockumentary Pls Like is to return for a brand new series on Tuesday 25 September at 10am, releasing as a box-set on BBC Three and then airing on BBC One weekly from Friday 28 September.
I don’t know if BBC Three needs to work on their SEO or if it is because I’m not fluent in YouTube-ing, but I struggled to find the third episode of Pls Like by googling alone (and even when I typed it into the YouTube search bar it was spat out as one of 3,080,000 results). I’m beginning to understand why the show it called what it is; the quota of ‘likes’ and subscriptions which become the validation or measure through which their return on advertising is gauged. Oh, what a frightening machine it is.
