Jamie Demetriou already has his place in the comedy pantheon of greats with three series of the Bafta-winning Stath Lets Flats under his belt. He now gets his own sketch show special on Netflix which confirms what we could have already guessed – that there is even more Demetriou greatness out there.
Netflix have commissioned A Whole Lifetime with Jamie Demetriou, a comedy special written by and starring quadruple BAFTA winner Jamie Demetriou and produced by BBC Studios Productions and Guilty Party Pictures.
BBC Studios has signed a deal with Stath Lets Flats star Jamie Demetriou to co-develop and coproduce new projects through BBC Studios’ production scripted portfolio and his own company People Day Ltd.
Demetriou is the creator and star of the Bafta-winning C4 comedy Stath Lets Flats.

Jamie Demetriou is ‘Stath’ - an incompetent Greek-Cypriot lettings agent, working in the family business, Michael & Eagle Lettings in North London. Series 3 of Stath Lets Flats picks up from the shock ending of the triple BAFTA-winning second series, as Stath is faced with rescuing Michael & Eagle and his relationship with Katia, while expecting his first child by Carole. Meanwhile his sister, Sophie, and best friend, Al, deal with the fallout of finally declaring their feelings for each other.
Apple TV+ has released a teaser trailer for the murder-mystery comedy series The Afterparty, from Academy Award, BAFTA and Golden Globe Award winners Chris Miller and Phil Lord (“Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse,” “The Lego Movie,” “21 Jump Street”). The eight-episode series will premiere globally in January 2022 on Apple TV+.

The first thing that gig-less comedians did after lockdown was put live shows online. The second was launch a podcast. But television hasn’t been far behind, using the format of quickfire, viral-friendly sketches filmed at home and observing social distancing. The BBC launches their rapid response series Comedians: Home Alone on BBC Two on June 1 at 10.15pm, but they have been pipped at the post by E4’s Remote Comedy From the Paddock.

The date and time has been revealed for the second series of Channel 4 estate agent comedy Stath Lets Flats.
It will return on Monday, August 19th at 10pm, when star and writer Jamie Demetriou will once again play Britain’s worst lettings agent. In the new series the hopeless, hapless Stath will face his biggest challenge yet at the family business Michael & Eagle Lettings.
