News: Absolute Football Show For Matt Forde

Absolute Radio has signed comedian and presenter Matt Forde to present the station’s Rock n Roll Football Show.  The football entertainment show is packed with an upbeat indie rock soundtrack, goals and a look at the lighter side of the game. 

Matt will be joined by existing co-host and fellow Nottingham Forest fan Matt Dyson.

For the first time, this highly topical political comedy chat show recorded on the same evening of transmission will also have an extended in-depth version, Unspun XL with Matt Forde, put out on the channel later that week.

News: Tony Blair To Appear On Unspun With Matt Forde

Former Prime Minister Tony Blair is the special guest on the latest edition of Unspun With Matt Forde, on Dave tonight (Wednesday) at 10pm.

His appearance was kept highly secret in the run-up but it was clear that this week's political interviewee was someone big because there was more security than usual when the programme was filmed in London last night.

Matt Forde’s new political series nearly hit the buffers before it had even been recorded. Forde’s first guest was scheduled to be Labour leadership contender Owen Smith, but he pulled out. Forde suggested on the show that Smith was concerned about appearing laddish. It was a shame, but his stand-in, former Home Secretary Alan Johnson was good value for money anyway.
