Australia Makes Its Own Taskmaster

Australia’s Paramount have picked up the rights of the global hit Taskmaster format from Avalon.

 

Paramount have ordered a series of 10x60’ episodes of ‘Taskmaster Australia’ to be produced by Avalon Television with Kevin & Co for Network 10. Set to air in 2023, the show will be hosted by Tom Gleeson and Tom Cashman.

Funny Women Awards – Results

The Funny Women Awards took place on Thursday night at the Bloomsbury Theatre and the big winner was Lorna Rose Treen.

The writer/actor/character comedian picked up two prizes – The Stage Award and the Comedy Short Award.

The runners up for the stage award were Marjolein Robertson and Jessie Nixon.

The Industry Award sponsored by 50:50 went to Amy Annette.

Ruby Carr won the Comedy Writing Award sponsored by Sky Studios.

Tik Tok star Chan Wills won the Content Creator prize.
