A Crowdfunding campaign has been organised to raise funds to set up a trust fund for the two young children of Gareth Richards. The 41-year-old comedian died on Good Friday after being involved in a car crash on the M25.
The fund was set up by his management Mirth Control. The aim was to raise £500, but at the time of writing the fund had already exceeded its target and raised £1837 (update - this story was published yesterday, the figure has gone up to over £13000).
Latitude has added more comedy to its line-up from July 20 - 23. Following his headline set, Romesh Ranganathan will be bringing the late-night party to the Comedy Arena, closing the Latitude festival with one of his rare and riotous Hip Hop Saved My Life parties. Ranganathan and his tour DJ Martin2smoove will create an exclusive Hip Hop Saved My Festival set with a soundtrack provided by some of the best DJs in the world.
