Names Announced For First Crossed Wires Podcast Festival

The Cross Wires Podcast Festival has announced its first batch of shows.

The festival takes place in various venues in Sheffield from Friday 31st May – Sunday 2nd June. Elis James And John Robins Win Gold At British Podcast Awards – Full Results

Elis James and John Robins have won the Gold award for Best Entertainment Show for their BBC Radio 5 show at the British Podcast Awards. 

Second place went to Help I Sexted My Boss hosted by William Hanson and Jordan North and third place went to British Scandal, presented by Matt Forde and Alice Levine.

Elis tweeted: "No speeches this year, so rest assured had I been able to speak I would have shouted ‘JUSTICE’ into the mic ten times before doing those arms Liam did at Knebworth"

Esteemed comedy academic Dr Oliver Double has launched a new podcast. Each episode features a long-form interview with a comedian in which they discuss their craft, their unique contribution to the stand-up scene and the joys and challenges of their comedy careers.
