A joke about former Labour Party leader Ed Miliband is the latest winner of Gold TV's annual competition to find the best Christmas Cracker joke.
The joke, which received 24% of votes in a poll is: 'Why does Ed Miliband like advent calendars? He gets to open the door to number 10.' The author of the winning joke, David Lawrence, receives £1,500 towards a holiday and a box of Gold Crackers, one of which will contain his own joke.
Following four series on BBC One, Adil Ray is bringing self-appointed community leader Mr Khan to the stage for three Arena performances in May 2016. Citizen Khan: They All Know Me!, will open on 5 May at Wembley’s SSE Arena, followed by Birmingham’s Genting Arena on 6 May and the Manchester Arena on 7 May. Tickets go on sale on 17 December at 9am.
It has been announced today that comedian Shappi Khorsandi will succeed physicist Jim Al-Khalili as the President of the British Humanist Association (BHA). Khorsandi will be the twelfth President in the BHA’s history and the fourth woman to take the role. She will begin her three-year term as President in January 2016.
