Ahead of the launch of Friday Night Dinner: Ten Years and a Lovely Bit of Squirrel on Friday night on C4 the stars of Robert Popper’s beloved sitcom, Tom Rosenthal (Jonny) and Simon Bird (Adam), share some of their best bits…

I'm pretty sure Desiree Burch is the first Yale graduate to appear on Taskmaster. She is probably also the first former dominatrix to appear on the award-winning game show. Burch has just been revealed as one of the competitors on the next series, which will hopefully air on C4 later this year.
In the meantime get some background on this formidable performer by reading this interview with her.
This is an interview with comedian James Acaster, which first ran in 2017 in the Evening Standard. He seemed in pretty good spirits, although there did seem to be hints of a darker undercurrent.
Secret Crush is a new dating game overseen by comedian Verona Rose.
In this series lovestruck singletons who’ve been harbouring feelings from afar finally reveal their hidden passion to their unknowing crush.
Whether they’ve been secretly dreaming of dating their best friend, colleague or gym buddy, it’s time for the lovelorn to publicly admit the desires they’ve been keeping bottled up.
How would you describe Bloods?
It’s a comedy drama about paramedics. We’re very much embracing the dark humour that these amazing people often use to get them through tough situations. It’s looking at how they manage to find a coping mechanism so that they can shut off from the things that they have to deal with because otherwise if you took everything home with you, you’d be an emotional wreck.
What drew you to this project when you were sent the scripts?
Glamping is on the rise in Britain and Johnny Vegas, award-winning comedian and entertainer wants to create a cool glamping site. Together with his long-suffering assistant Bev, he sets about buying an old Maltese bus online. It seems a bargain, but all is not as it seems...
Alan, welcome back! For the uninitiated, what can you tell us about This Time?
It’s what’s known as a magazine show, bottling all of the magic of magazine reading and translating that into 30 minutes of TV. Some people sneer at magazines. But imagine a world without magazines, with readers having to make do with books, newspapers and letters. A chilling prospect.

Frank of Ireland is a new comedy series from Clelia Mountford and Sharon Horgan’s Merman Company starring Brian and Domhnall Gleeson. It was written by brothers Brian and Domhnall Gleeson and Michael Moloney.
One of the most exciting things about the Edinburgh Fringe is when a new act explodes on the scene out of nowhere. Crybabies – Ed Jones, Michael Clarke and James Gault – were certainly new to me as a trio although I had come across them in individual projects. When they picked up a Dave's Edinburgh Comedy Award Best Newcomer nomination it should have given their career a terrific kickstart. I'm sure it has helped but unfortunately they have been on the inevitable unplanned break over the last year.
