Channel 4 and Northern Ireland Screen have selected three half-hour comedy scripts to be written as part of the broadcaster’s Comedy Lab in Northern Ireland, offering a major opportunity for writers to develop bold, distinctive comedy projects.
BBC Northern Ireland and RTÉ have commissioned two six-part series of new drama Tall Tales & Murder, in association with Screen Ireland. The show is written by Stuart Carolan - the writer and creator of RTÉ's smash-hit crime drama Love/Hate, one of the most critically acclaimed and successful Irish dramas ever produced - and is co-created with double EMMY and Directors Guild of America Award winner Chris Addison (Veep, Breeders, The Thick of It).

A new comedy clun is launching in Newcastle Upon Tyne. Nightclub Digital on Times Square, is bringing top names from the comedy circuit to the Toon. Best known as a nightclub, Digital have been programming a programme of events, gigs and shows to adapt to changing times and give people nights out to remember.

Adam Door has won West End New Act of the Year 2025. Adam beat 16 other acts in the final at the Albany on Tuesday 6th May.
Madeleine Brettingham and Jim Hooker bagged the runner up spots and while both Imran Hafeez and Sophie Sconcia tied for the Audience Vote award.
Resident host Steve McLean said 'We've not had a tie for any podium place in the final before.
