BBC Radio 4 is to launch six new satirical comedy specials this summer in its Friday early evening slot.

Late Night Mash Returns With New Host Rachel Parris

Late Night Mash will return to Dave for a new series of topical comedy later this year, with new host Rachel Parris.

Parris will be joined each week by a special guest and the Late Night Mash team to react to the week’s events, with each episode recorded the day before transmission to be as incisive and up-to-date as possible. Comprised of eight brand new episodes and a ninth compiling the best moments from the series, Late Night Mash is produced by Zeppotron and made with The Daily Mash website.

News: Lip Sync Shows For Marcus Brigstocke And Rachel Parris

Comedy club Always Be Comedy, which is currently running online, is launching a lip sync-inspired night featuring Marcus Brigstocke and Rachel Parris.
 
This follows the success of the real-life couple's home-made lip sync performances which they have been posting during lockdown. They also did Robbie Williams and Blur on the BBC sketch show Comedians Home Alone.

News: New Ski Resort Comedy Festival Launches

A new comedy festival is to launch in France.Let’s Get Comédie will take place in the Portes Soleil ski area in Les Gets from January 20 - 24 and will feature a mix of English-speaking and French-speacking comedians.

Acts already confirmed include Mash Report star Rachel Parris, Marcus Brigstocke, Tom Wrigglesworth, Ian Moore, Paul Taylor, physical comedy act Men in Coats and French musical comedian Redouanne Harjane.

News: Rachel Parris Goes Back On Tour In 2020

BAFTA Nominated comedian and star of BBC Two’s The Mash Report, Rachel Parris will tour the UK in Spring 2020, with a brand-new show about big life changes, titled All Change Please. The tour includes three warm up dates at London’s Soho Theatre before officially starting in Brighton on 24th April 2020 and concluding in Leeds at the City Varieties on 27th June 2020.

News: Comedians Sign Up For Impossible Show

Russell Kane, Rachel Parris, Imran Yusuf and Craig Hill are among the celebrities who have signed up for game show Impossible Celebrities, which is making its way to primetime BBC One this summer, hosted by Rick Edwards.

Across six episodes 18 celebrity contestants will compete for the chance to win £10,000 for a charity of their choice.

TV Preview: A Girl's Guide To TV, BBC2

This one-off has slipped into the schedules without much of a fanfare. Which I'm surprised about because it is fronted by the breakout star of The Mash Report, Rachel Parris.

In fact it is co-written by Parris and comedian Tom Neenan, who was also involved in The Mash Report so don't be shocked if there is a bit of a stylistic overlap.

News: Rachel Parris Extends Tour Well Into 2019

Rachel Parris has extended her It's Fun To Pretend will into 2019 due to demand.

There are now lots more dates from March 1 at Bromsgrove Artrix.

The new tour will see Parris showcasing a combination of her trademark comic anthems and her relatable, bittersweet stand-up alongside brand new material looking at the insane events of this year.
