News: British Podcast Awards Nominations Announced

The nominations have been announced for this year's British Podcast Awards.

The nominees include the Julia Davis/Vicki Pepperdine podcast Dear Joan and Jericha which is up for Acast Moment of The Year. It is also nominated for Best Comedy alongside Beef And Dairy Network Podcast, Birthday Girls' House Party, The All New Angelos and Barry Podcast, The Guilty Feminist and The Horne Section Podcast.

News: London Podcast Festival To Return

The London Podcast Festival is to return for its third annual festival at King's Place in north London. This year's celebration of all things pod-related will be happening from September 13 - 16. Among the highlights are Cariad Lloyd fronting an edition of the award-winning podcast Griefcast and Danielle Ward and Michael Legge's Do The Right Thing. Americans Chris Gethard and Paul F Tompkins will also be coming over for the event.

News: Cariad Lloyd, Robins/James, Russell Brand Among British Podcast Award Nominees

Cariad Lloyd, Stuart Goldsmith and John Robins and Elis James are among the comedians nominated for British Podcast Awards in the shortlist announced today.

Lloyd is nominated twice for her Griefcast podcast – in the Best Entertainment supported by Sony Music’s 4th Floor Creative and the Best Interview supported by IP:DTL. Stuart Goldsmith's Comedian's Comedian is also nominated for Best Interview.

News: BBC Appoints First Podcast Boss

The BBC has announced the appointment of their first Commissioning Editor for Podcasts. Jason Phipps, currently Head of Audio at The Guardian, will start the role in May.

Jason will lead on the BBC’s podcast strategy, overseeing the portfolio of podcasts across the organisation.
