There is lots going on in the third episode of the final series of Uncle. Things seem to be looking up for the music career of Andy (Nick Helm). After producing a recording session for newcomer Jasmine (Emily Bevan), he finds himself embarking on a drug-fuelled bender with her, only to wake up in the morning and discover that they are engaged.

What’s Uncle about?

Uncle is an unconventional family sitcom. The first series was about a suicidal, estranged uncle who gets reunited with his nephew. It was about how you had these two opposites a nerdy and OCD child and a kind of slobby man-child and they learned life lessons from each other. Though not necessarily good ones.


News: New Gig And New TV Series For Nick Helm

The release date has been confirmed for the BBC Three series Uncle starring Nick Helm. It is due to be available online from January 1. This will be the third series of the comedy, written by Oliver Refson, in which Helm plays downbeat musician Andy who forms a quirky friendship with his nephew Errol (Elliot Speller-Gillott).

Nick Helm is due to start filming the third series of sitcom Uncle in which he plays dropout and rock and roll wannabe Andy. The shoot will start in a fortnight and last for eight weeks. Helm tweeted "Best series yet."

Nick Helm is releasing his "surprisingly easy" second album – Nick Helm Is Fucking Amazing. It will be available from April 14. And on the same date he is playing a one-off gig at the forum in Kentish Town, entitled Nick Helm: All Killer Some Filler.


News: Nick Helm Film Nominated For BAFTA

Elephant, written by and starring Nick Helm and Esther Smith, has been nominated for a BAFTA for Best Short Film. 

The romantic film was made for the BBC iPlayer's Funny Valentines series last Spring and follows two young people, played by Helm and Smith, as they pootle around Brighton and try to avoid saying that they love each other. The film was directed by Helm and produced by Alex Moody.

News: Nick Helm Gets Turtle-Y Comical

Comedian Nick Helm has befriended a large turtle to record a promotional clip for the forthcoming Roar with Laughter show at the Eventim Apollo.

The gig, in aid of international conservation charity the Zoological Society of London’s (ZSL) Asiatic lions campaign, takes place on October 9. It features Helm alongside Marcus Brigstocke, Rich Hall, Jeremy Lion, Robin Ince, Miles Jupp, Dominic Holland, Tiff Stevenson and Greg Burns with more acts to be announced over the coming months.

Manwatching is described as "a funny, frank, and occasionally explicit insight into heterosexual female desire, read out loud by a man."
