News: Nick Helm Cancels Phoenix From The Flames Tour

Nick Helm has cancelled the remaining dates of his Phoenix From The Flames tour.

Nick Helm premiered the show at the Edinburgh Fringe in 2019 and received rave reviews for his performance and honesty about his recent mental health struggles. But he has now decided that by the time it is safe to tour again it will be too late to keep going with this show. Instead he would like to move on with a new show reflecting where he is now.

News: Nick Helm Launches Show Online With Watchalong And Q&A

Nick Helm is to release the monumental live show filmed in 2016 at the 02 Forum Kentish Town that launched his second studio album, Nick Helm is Fucking Amazing.

Under-rehearsed, under-prepared and under pressure, Nick and his band somehow managed to pull together the greatest show in the last 27 years of living memory (or maybe that should be his living memory).

Interview: Nick Helm by Brian Donaldson

Always a man who likes an incendiary show title, Phoenix From The Flames represents Nick Helm’s return to something like his old self. The man who starred in BBC Three’s wonderfully charming Uncle, fronted a food programme for Dave entitled Eat Your Heart Out, and has appeared in two series of Romesh Ranganathan’s Sky sitcom The Reluctant Landlord, has always given off the vibe that just about anything could happen during one of his live extravaganzas.

News: Two Live Shows And TV For Nick Helm

Award winning stand-up and TV star Nick Helm will be performing not one but two live shows this autumn/winter.

Nick’s two shows are a tenth-anniversary resurrection of a horror musical and the fourth instalment of his festive bonanza.

Back in 2008 Helm wrote his last play for the Edinburgh Festival, the Musical B-Movie, Drive-In Anthology Horror Tribute ‘I Think, You Stink!’.  It was the only show that Nick wrote between 2001 and 2008 that made any money in Edinburgh. It made £50.

Review: Nick Helm – The Killing Machine, iPlayer

Nick Helm does some proper acting in his self-penned Comedy Short in which he plays a lifetime loser Sam Miller who decides to train to be a champion boxer. When they meet at the gym his trainer Donny (Lloyd Everitt) is not so sure if Sam is cut out for this: "If I didn't do something because I wasn't very good at it i wouldn't do anything," replies Sam.

Opinion: Should Comedians Change Their Act For Different Times?

If you’d had a medical examination that you felt was more intimate than it needed to be what would you do? Go to the General Medical Council? Go to the police? In the case of Greg Davies he turned it into one of the routines in his latest live show, You Magnificent Beast.

Interview: Nick Helm

I interviewed Nick Helm this summer for the London Evening Standard in the run-up to his new tour and new Dave TV series Eat Your Heart Out. You can read the original interview here but he said so much that I couldn't fit in that I've posted the interview transcript below.

TV: Eat Your Heart Out With Nick Helm, Dave

Nice work if you can get it. Nick Helm’s latest series is a mix of sitcom and food programme as he travels around meeting friends, family and heroes, gets to cook food and, on the downside, copes with breaking up with his girlfriend.
