Channel 4 will be marking October’s Black History Month with a round of five commissions, including a documenarty on comedy presented by Mo Gilligan.

Black, British and Funny (working title) Mo Gilligan looks at the comedians who paved the way for artists like him and shines a light on the new wave of acts coming through.

News: Second Run For Mo Gilligan's The Lateish Show

Channel 4 has ordered a second series of The Lateish Show with Mo Gilligan. The series, co-produced by Expectation and Gilligan’s production company Momo G, will return to Channel 4 next year.  The news comes hot on the heels of Gilligan’s Bafta TV nomination for the first run, picking up a nod in the Entertainment Performance category, as well as his recent lockdown series Mo Gilligan’s All Star Happy Hour.

News: Report Gets Black Gogglebox Stars' Names Wrong

Comedian Mo Gilligan has complained that a story about his appearance on Celebrity Gogglebox failed to get his name and his friend's name right in the caption.

A report on Mirror Online showed a picture of the comic with his friend, comedian Babatúndé Aléshé, but the caption underneath said that it was a picture of two other people that had appeared on the same Channel 4 show, KSI and S-X (pictured).
