Kathy Griffin
Comedian Kathy Griffin has said that she "takes back 1,000%" the apology she made in the immediate aftermath of posing in a photo with a prop meant to resemble the severed head of US President Donald Trump.
The outspoken performer told BBC Hardtalk's interviewer Stephen Sackur she is "not sorry". She suggested that Trump's outrage over the incident was an attempt to distract from the Russia investigation.
Comedian Kathy Griffin is to play the UK as part of her Laugh Your Head Off World Tour.
Griffin made headlines earlier this year when she appeared in a photo holding up Donald Trump's severed head. The fiery redheaded comedian is bringing the story of the photo and the fallout that followed, along with breaking down everything in the pop-culture landscape, to audiences worldwide.
Comedian Kathy Griffin has held a press conference to talk about the recent controversy over the picture in which she was holding up a bloody, severed head of US President Donald Trump.
She tearfully apologised for posing for the picture suggesting that it had finished her career. “I don’t think I will have a career after this. I’m going to be honest, (Trump) broke me,” said Griffin.
