News: Famalam's Drilly T Releases Birthday Girl Single

Drilly T, one of the breakout characters of BBC Three comedy Famalam, has released the full-length version of “Drillogram (Who’s the Birthday Girl?)” as an official single. The new track includes a second verse and bombastic drill production and is out now on all streaming platforms via BMG.

Hit shows Famalam, Feel Good, This Way Up and Two Weeks to Live are among the TV shows nominated in this year's Rose D'Or Awards.

Nominees for the prestigious 59th Rose d’Or Awards have been announced today, selected from 766 entries across 12 categories, for the 2020 digital edition of the event 

The shortlist was voted for by over 80 international judges from across the television industry and includes entries from every major territory in the world.

Video: Famalam Criticised for Stereotyping

Watch the "Jamaican Countdown" trailer for the third series of BBC sketch comedy Famalam that has caused controversy on social media.

Huffington Post journalist Nadine White tweeted: "This "sketch" is insulting to the highest degree. It peddles tired stereotypes and is not funny in the slightest. Everyone involved should be deeply ashamed of themselves; I hope the cheque was worth it." Her tweet was retweeted over 300 times.

Hit BBC Three sketch show Famalam is set to return this spring for a second series. The show will revisit a range of popular characters such as grime MC Scribbler P, the warring aunties and thwarted Nigerian philanthropist Prince Alyusi.

Following on from a successful pilot last year, a four-part series of sketch show Famalam has been commissioned.

In the debut series of the sketch show we’ll meet a huge range of comic creations including thwarted Nigerian philanthropist Prince Alyusi, Croydon’s leading voodoo doctor Professor Lofuko, misunderstood superhero Eclispe, never-satiated chicken-loving schoolboy Fat Sam and over-amorous daytime TV hosts/lovers, William and Funke.
